Why is important to teach Measurements in Preschool?
When teaching measurement skills to young children provide lots of opportunities for the students to order objects by size. Measurements tools and skills have a variety of uses in everyday life.
Balance Working Sheet
Material: · Working Sheet · Markers · Color pencils Procedure: The students will have a working sheet with a balance’s drawing. There will be a drawing in one side of the balance and they will have to draw in the other side another object, maybe heavier or lightweight.

Materials: · Number flashcards · Clips Procedure: The students will have to see the flashcard and put together the amount of correspondent clips according to the number. |
Measuring Objects
Materials: · Classroom objects · Objects around my house Procedure: The students will have different objects, some of them will be heavy, others lightweight , big and small. As a group, they will have to organize the objects given by the teacher according to their size and weight.

My Balance
Materials: · Plastic hooks · Plastic glasses · Wool · Rice and beans · Paint and paintbrushes Procedure: The students will create their own Balance, following some steps. First, if the students want to, they can paint their glass and hook with their own creativity and imagination. To continue, they will have to make little holes in the plastic glass and put the wool in it. Then they will have to tie up the wool in the hook, one on each side. When this is ready, they will have to put rice in one of the glasses and beans in the other, they will have to measure which one is heavier.
